The Programmers Guide starts with an introduction that includes a description of the packages that make up the toolkit followed by an overview of the major classes that all developers will need to understand in order to effectively build applications with the toolkit. It is highly recommended that you read the Introduction and Overview section before moving on to other toolkit documentation.

The Quick Start Guides provide a set of task-oriented tutorial-style documents that provide a fast way to start working with the toolkit to achieve a particular set of goals. The Basics guides cover the essentials of writting code with the toolkit in order to read, interpret, and view data. Subsequent guides describe how to write Custom "plug-in" modules for the toolkit.
